This is a practical qualification providing learners the skills needed to support a SEQ L2 Swimming Teacher delivering lessons. You will learn about:

• The legal aspects of assisting in swimming lessons
• The role and responsibilities of a Swimming Assistant
• How we move; fundamental movement skills, core aquatic skills, swimming strokes
• How we move in water; the scientific principles
• Swimming lessons; planning, delivery, equipment, review
• Communication skills

• Learners must be at least 16 years of age or older on the first day of the course.
• SEQ L1 Swimming Assistant total qualification time 30 (26 Guided Learning Hours)
