This is a practical and theory based qualification. It provides learners with the skills and experience to introduce baby and toddler swimming lessons and links to the Swim England Pre School Framework.

- The role and responsibilities of a Swimming Assistant; managing the environment.
- How we move; fundamental movement skills, core aquatic skills, swimming strokes
- How we move in water; the scientific principles
- Swimming lessons; planning, delivery, equipment, review
- Communication skills
- Planning for different groups; SEND, School, Club, Learn to Swim.

- Learners must be at least 16 years of age or older on the first day of the course.
- For those who have SEQ L2 Teaching Swimming total qualification time 30 (28 Guided Learning Hours)
- For those who wish to do the stand alone SEQ L2 Teaching Swimming to Babies & Toddlers total qualification time is 60 ( 56 Guided Learning Hours)
